Well, well, well...Who knew this blog was still active?! I'm a deadbeat. Whoops. Whelp. A lot has changed. A lot has happened. A lot has gone wrong. A lot has gone right. So where to start. Let's just jump right on in here.
August 7th I was laid off of work due to the downturn in the oil and gas industry. What have I been doing with the last few months of my life you may ask? A whole lot of nothing. Well, that's not all true. The first couple months were spent living life and spending all my money, because I mean that's what every responsible 23 year old with a mortgage, bills and a car payment would do... Yikes. Although, it has been rather fun getting back into the farm thing with my family. I forgot what it was like to work with livestock and be with the people you love all the time. Now my family, they are sure something else. I have never felt so supported or loved from anyone more than I do from them. Especially my dad. If my dad wasn't my dad I don't know what I would do. He is the most loving, giving, loyal and forgiving human I know. Sure, he can be a hard ass at time but who doesn't need a swift kick in the ass sometimes. And I love and appreciate him more and more everyday for all that he has done and continues to do for me.
Now for friends. They sure come and go when they please. In all honesty though, I've done some things wrong but don't know whether or not things can be fixed. When someone can admit their wrong that says wonders about a person. So, you know who you are. I am sorry. I have made mistakes, I have messed up and I apologize. But with that said, I've made some pretty stellar new friends in the last couple months and I wouldn't trade any of them for the world!
Oh yea, hey! Guess what! I bought a new house....In July..HA! Granted, it is where I said I would never live again. But home is home. Alas, I have bought a house that feels like home. Which is indescribable. I am close to family, friends and I mean I have a social life again. Bonus! When I lived in Calgary, I was a hermit. I was either at my place in the city or at my dad or brothers house out at the farm. But yay for local friends and people that love you! Unfortunately, my poor kitty, Jed, I had at my city house couldn't hack the farm like and wandered off a couple of months ago. Holy balls do I miss him. I miss having a non-human cuddle buddy to snuggle with on the couch or at bed time. Chloe (my dog) is just a bitch and hogs my bed and just eats, sleeps, and shits. What is this! Amateur hour?! Just kidding, I love her. She keeps me entertained and is at least excited to see me when I come home, so that's good I guess eh?
OHHH YAAAA!!! GUESS WHAT!!! I'M AN AUNTIE...AGAIN!!! Brynn Mackenzie was welcomed into our hearts on September 17th. Oh man, is she ever presh. And seeing Dane with her holy moly that'll tear at your heart strings a tad! "My baby" he says. Sooo adorbs. Love these two more than I've ever loved any other humans I reckon. Although, when you are holding a baby and people walk up to you and are like "OMG I didn't know you had a baby, congratulations!" you kind of hate your life and want to be like, "YO! I know I'm fat, but this is not my child. I did not miraculously conceive a child and hide it for 9 months. She's my niece..." Good laughs though.
Lets wrap this up shall we? I'm rambling. Maybe one day I'll write a stellar blog again! Doubtful.
Well, be happy; love each other; be kind; have sex!
xoxo Daelyn
